Envision 8.1 and beyond:
- Envision 8.1 and beyond use new database structures and are not compatible with any lower version of Envision, including 8.0. Opening databases created or modified in version 8.1 with any previous version of Envision (including 8.0) will result in serious database errors and will most likely corrupt the entire database. If using Envision in a multi-user environment all users must be running the same version of Envision.
- All databases and projects created with 8.1 and beyond ARE compatible with each other.
Envision 9
- Envision 9 is a major new release providing significant new capabilities in many areas. User suggestions have resulted in numerous meta-modeling improvements, more intuitive and user friendly drawing and manipulation capabilities, and significantly enhanced repository capabilities.
- Envision 9 requires databases to be converted to a new format. Databases created in previous version of Envision will NOT work in Envision 9.
